Winemaker Notes
The 2021 Siduri Willamette Valley Pinot Noir comes from vineyards in two distinctive appellations within the Willamette Valley: Yamhill-Carlton and Eola-Amity - plus a third vineyard in the Southern Willamette Valley, Maple Grove, that adds structure and richness. These three areas all bring different attributes to the blend and give us a broad range of flavors to blend to create a
wine that is simultaneously rich and zippy–the best of all possible worlds.
Aromas of blackberry, black tea and autumn mulch alongside flavors of cherry pit, licorice and espresso.

Wine Enthusiast
While this is Siduri’s “regular” Pinot, it’s a real standout. Charming fruit and spice aromas seem perfectly aligned with the complex, layered, intricate flavors that follow. The wine is firm textured, concentrated and impressive, offering everything from bright raspberries to rich black cherries to cedar and clove accents.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Matured for 10 months in 25% new French oak, the 2021 Pinot Noir Willamette Valley has savory scents of cranberry sauce, blackberries, woodsmoke, tobacco and forest floor. The medium-bodied palate features generous, crunchy fruit and spicy accents. It has a silky texture, mouthwatering acidity and a long, expressive finish.

Wine Spectator
Snappy and generous, with raspberry and blueberry flavors accented with clove and other dusky spices as this builds tension toward the vibrant finish. Drink now through 2030.

Wilfred
Two Pinot Noir lovers, Adam and Dianna Lee, founded Siduri Wines in 1994. They produced only four and a half barrels of Pinot Noir that first vintage. Now they handcraft over 10,000 cases of Pinot Noir from vineyards ranging from Oregon's Willamette Valley down to the Santa Rita Hills and Santa Lucia Highlands AVAs. Each Pinot Noir is created using gravity flow and minimal intervention, with the goal of reflecting the unique terroir of each particular vineyard. Siduri Wines and its sibling, Novy Family Wines have received the Wine Spectator's New York Wine Experience "Critics Choice" recognition a combined seven times since 2004.
Home of some of the planet’s most amazingly elegant and expressive Pinot noir, the Willamette Valley is a pastoral, mixed landscape of green, bucolic rolling hills, dramatic forestlands and small, independent, friendly wine growers. As a leader in environmental stewardship, the valley has some of the nation’s most protective land use policies, with two-thirds of its vineyards farmed sustainably and over half, organically. While the valley claims a cool, continental climate, and is heavily influenced by the cold, moist winds of the Pacific Ocean, its warm and dry summers allow for the steady, even ripening of Pinot noir.
The potential of Willamette Valley Pinot noir continues to attract the investment of serious growers and winemakers both locally and from abroad, as naturally the finished wines bring accolades from professionals and enthusiasts. With a range of styles from delicate dried cherry, raspberry and hibiscus to stronger notes of truffle, mocha, plum and spice, a fine Willamette Valley Pinot noir is a perfect expression of both character and grace.
