Winemaker Notes
Tropical fruit and orange blossom aromas lead to flavors of white peach with a caramel, nutty undertone that lingers on the textured, luxurious finish. The natural fermentation provides a brilliant linear acidity and substantial core with just enough layered sweetness, resulting in a round, balanced palate.

This opens with pleasant aromas of lightly grilled apple, orange blossom, brioche and just-toasted hazelnut. It showcases a nice balance between rich flavors and countering vibrancy, with ample acidity to lift the decadent flavors and lend refreshment to the finish.

Juicy and ripe, with delicious peach, apricot and yellow apple fruit flavors pumping through, backed by ginger and hazelnut notes on the finish. On the toasty side but has the energy for balance.
As one of the world’s most beautiful wine estates, Lourensford offers a visual feast across 4 000 hectares of forest, fynbos, fruit orchards and vineyards, which rise up the slopes of the Helderberg Mountains, caressed by breezes off the Atlantic Ocean. Established by Governor Willem Adriaan van der Stel in 1709, Lourensford has a proud history as a world class fruit farm and the wealth of glorious proteas point to the property’s rich floral heritage. Fortunately, the winemaking tradition was revived when well known Cape business man Dr. Christo Wiese purchased the estate in 1998.
