This wine is mostly Semillon, with Sauvignon Blanc filling in the rest. It’s one of the rare white wines from the Walla Walla AVA, graceful, full-bodied and tasting of fig and green banana. Just recently bottled, it still carries a bit of yeast in the nose and in the finish. Give it another few months to pull itself together.

A step up, with a clean and classy feel, the 2012 Estate Luminesce is 61% Semillon and 39% Sauvignon Blanc (30% of the blend went through malolactic fermentation) that spent four months, on lees, in French oak. Loaded with notes of leafy herbs, melon ball, flowers and citrus blossom, it hits the palate with a medium-bodied, full and nicely textured profile that carries integrated acidity and a clean, dry finish.

L'Ecole is one of the most honored wineries in Washington State. We are proud to be recognized by Wine & Spirits Magazine as a Top 100 Winery of the Year for fourteen consecutive years. In 2014, Decanter awarded our 2011 Estate Ferguson the International Trophy for Best Bordeaux Blend in the World! In 2016, the 2013 Ferguson won the International Trophy for Best New World Bordeaux Blend from the Six Nations Wine Challenge.
