  Here is a Chardonnay that goes right to the fruity point even as it makes no apologies for ripeness and a full dose of sweet, lightly toasty oak. It is full and slightly supple with fine proportion and balance throughout and is marked by a sense of sophistication uncommon in wines of its richness and size. It is at once bold but well-measured and stays structured even as a touch of late-arriving heat peeks through at the finish, and, if an eminently satisfying companion to richer seafood and fowl in its youth, it promises to be better yet after a wait of some two to four years.
