Another terrific wine, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve offers lots of blackcurrants, spice box, tobacco leaf, and chocolatey nuances to go with a full-bodied style on the palate. It has the 2018 vintage’s fresher, more elegant style yet brings ample fruit and has an expansive, layered mouthfeel as well as a great finish. It’s another wine to enjoy any time over the coming 15-20 years.

Aromas of blackberry, bark, coffee and black tea on the nose. Citrus zest, too. It’s medium-to full-bodied with firm, sleek tannins. Rich flavors, yet it retains freshness. Try from 2022.

Dwight Bonewell is the winemaker behind Grand Napa; in this 2018 Reserve, he achieved impressive clarity in its tannins and layers of berry flavor. There’s strawberry and deeper blackberry in the scent, then a wilder note of huckleberry in the flavor. It’s satisfy-ing and clean, a happy wine to enliven a din-ner party.

Nestled in the heart of Napa Valley, Grand Napa Vineyards has a rich history dating back over four generations. Planted by Italian farmers, our vineyard has been passed down from family to family, with each generation leaving its mark on the land and the fruit it produces.
For nearly twenty years, they have been crafting exceptional wines that reflect the unique terroir of Rutherford. Surrounded by some of the most prestigious vineyards in the world, they hold themselves to the highest standards and strive for excellence in every aspect of our cultivation and winemaking.
At Grand Napa Vineyards, they are not just making wine – they are creating memories that will last a lifetime. Whether you're a seasoned wine connoisseur or a newcomer to the world of Napa Valley wines, Grand Napa invites you to join their mission to bring outstanding wines to the world. Rutherford is their land, their history, and the heart of their mission – and they can't wait to share it with you.
One of the most prestigious wines of the world capable of great power and grace, Napa Valley Cabernet is a leading force in the world of fine, famous, collectible red wine. Today the Napa Valley and Cabernet Sauvignon are so intrinsically linked that it is difficult to discuss one without the other. But it wasn’t until the 1970s that this marriage came to light; sudden international recognition rained upon Napa with the victory of the Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars 1973 Cabernet Sauvignon in the 1976 Judgement of Paris.
Cabernet Sauvignon undoubtedly dominates Napa Valley today, covering half of the land under vine, commanding the highest prices per ton and earning the most critical acclaim. Cabernet Sauvignon’s structure, acidity, capacity to thrive in multiple environs and ability to express nuances of vintage make it perfect for Napa Valley where incredible soil and geographical diversity are found and the climate is perfect for grape growing. Within the Napa Valley lie many smaller sub-AVAs that express specific characteristics based on situation, slope and soil—as a perfect example, Rutherford’s famous dust or Stags Leap District's tart cherry flavors.
