The archetypal expression of Malagousia, this is a top vintage and is partly matured in oak. Vivacious nose, with herbal notes and a core of citrus. A joy to sip. Drinking Window 2020 - 2024

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2019 Malagousia is unoaked and comes in at 13.6% alcohol. Another super Malagousia from this winery, this shows good concentration—many don't—while remaining aromatic, expressive and lively. Textured and full of flavor, this is a winery that is consistently getting this grape right, which is not surprising given the owner's long association with the grape. The only remaining question is whether they can age and develop. That remains an issue that may give them a ceiling and makes me a little nervous about high scores, but in the meanwhile, it seems super. Don't hesitate to drink it young, when it will likely be at its best.

There are hundreds of white grape varieties grown throughout the world. Some are indigenous specialties capable of producing excellent single varietal wines. Each has its own distinct viticultural characteristics, as well as aroma and flavor profiles.
As one of the few continental-climate, mountainous growing areas of Greece, Macedonia produces notable, high-quality red wines. Xinomavro is its star variety, capable of making a spicy and age-worthy red.
