Fresh Vine Wine is an exclusive collection of premium wines crafted for the active lifestyle consumer. Produced and bottled in Napa, California, this collection of bold wines, rich with flavor features less calories, carbs, and sugar. Fresh Vine Wine was co-founded by Nina Dobrev and Julianne Hough with the intention of finding a balance between an active routine and enjoying memorable moments over a glass of delicious wine that you can count on complementing the work that you put in without the sacrifice.
Fresh Vine Wine uses a proprietary farming and fermentation process paired with traditional winemaking practices from vineyard to cellar. In the vineyard, Fresh Vine Wine’s winemaker, Jamey Whetstone, hand selects grapes in collaboration with top leading growers from California’s best wine regions, providing the perfect opportunity for the delicate balance of sugar, acidity, and flavors that they use to create the highest quality lower-calorie, lower-carb wines. In the cellar, their expert winemaking team pay close attention to every gram of sugar, calorie, and carb that goes into each varietal with minimal manipulation of the wines to ensure quality and taste is never sacrificed. Nina Dobrev and Julianne Hough joined Fresh Vine Wine with a vision to fill a gap that exists in the current wine aisle - premium, delicious tasting wines that evoked a guilt-free experience that you can be proud to enjoy on any adventure or at any table.
California’s most praised white wine, Chardonnay is also the state’s most planted white grape variety. Diverse terrain and microclimates allow for an incredible range of wine styles.
Chardonnay planted in the cooler, coastal zones takes on bright characteristics like lemon zest, key lime, green apple and wet flint. For this style, look to the chilly Sonoma Coast, Carneros, Santa Cruz Mountains, Santa Lucia Highlands and Edna Valley.
The inland zones of California’s coast, such as the Russian River, Sonoma, Napa and Livermore Valleys maintain a more Goldilocks-esque climate where both styles go. Early picking retains acidity and creates a leaner style but leaving the grapes to hang creates an approachable Chardonnay, balancing richness and finesse.
Chardonnay also plays a major part in the sparkling wine production of the Anderson Valley and Carneros.
