Domaine des Malandes Chablis Vaudesir Grand Cru 2020

Aromas of orange oil, freshly baked bread, crisp peach and oyster shell introduce the 2020 Chablis Grand Cru Vaudésir, a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and textural wine with tangy acids, chalky extract and a comparatively structured, reserved profile for a site that can deliver youthfully extroverted wines. It's now vinified and matured in 500-liter barrels.

Moderate wood suffuses the vaguely exotic aromas of lemongrass, passion fruit, anise and whiffs of algae and oyster shell. There is again fine volume to the notably finer middle weight flavors that possess a more refined texture though not the same power on the tension-filled, balanced and sneaky long finish. A wine of finesse and harmony.
