Winemaker Notes
Limpid, pale yellow colour, with light silver reflections. A beautiful intensity, nose is marked by a tasty mix of exotic fruit notes (mango, passion fruit) and citrus (grapefruit). After a frank attack, there is a nice intensity in the mouth. The balance is good between roundness and freshness. We find again notes of exotic fruits (mango, candied orange) and citrus fruits (lemon, grapefruit). The whole is very gourmet. Nice finish.
This wine will be enjoyed as an aperitif, but also with a seafood platter, an avocado with shrimp, or grilled fish.
Blend: 85% Sauvignon Blanc, 15% Semillon

COMMENTARY: The 2021 Chateau Bonnet Entre-Deux-Mers is rustic and true. TASTING NOTES: This wine offers aromas and flavors of earthiness, rustic spices, dried herbs, and sorrel. Enjoy it with linguine and clams. (Tasted: February 23, 2023, San Francisco, CA)

Part of the family-owned Les Vignobles André Lurton, Château Bonnet has been in the Lurton family since 1897. It was inherited by current patriarch Andre Lurton in 1953, who transformed his tiny family estate into the largest chateau in Bordeaux. André Lurton is one of the main figures behind Bordeaux’s quality revolution, and Château Bonnet is the beneficiary of his exacting standards.
Over the past 60 years, André Lurton has simultaneously preserved traditional winemaking techniques while embracing technological advances. In addition, as one of the top three land owners in Bordeaux, he has an exceptional level of control over his fruit. This combination of tradition, modernity, and vineyard ownership means Lurton has the rare ability to offer unique, terroir-driven wines with consistently excellent quality.
