Winemaker Notes
This Sauvignon Blanc has a slight amber color with a fresh aromatic nose. Grassy and mineral flavored with a refreshingly crisp mouthfeel. Vines are located outside the Loire Valley AOC boundaries, hence the Vin de France classification.

This linear Sauvignon Blanc is bolstered by pleasing herbal elements that lend complexity. Lemon-gold in color, the wine has an aromatic nose of ripe green apple, dried hay, Bosc pear, fennel, white blossom and petrichor from a first rain. Some chalkiness on the mid palate is followed by lemon citrus on the long finish. This wine would pair well with vegetable dishes.

A pure and taut sauvignon blanc, showing gooseberry, wet stone, green apple and quince on the nose, following through to a taut expression of citrus and stone fruit on the palate.
Capable of a vast array of styles, Sauvignon Blanc is a crisp, refreshing variety that equally reflects both terroir and varietal character. Though it can vary depending on where it is grown, a couple of commonalities always exist—namely, zesty acidity and intense aromatics. This variety is of French provenance. Somm Secret—Along with Cabernet Franc, Sauvignon Blanc is a proud parent of Cabernet Sauvignon. That green bell pepper aroma that all three varieties share is no coincidence—it comes from a high concentration of pyrazines (herbaceous aromatic compounds) inherent to each member of the family.
Stretching east along the steep banks of the Loire River, Touraine is a major part of the Middle Loire. Soil variations of clay, sand, tuffeau and gravel throughout its subregions support both white and red varieties. Chinon and Bourgueil remain the source of Loire’s finest Cabernet Franc; various styles of the most outstanding Chenin blanc come from Vouvray and Montlouis.
