Since 2008, Pali has made Huntington to catalogue the essence of Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir vintage after vintage. As a pretty, entry-level offering, Huntington is the perfect accompaniment for all occasions, and its versatility is built on a balance of bright acidity, elegant spice and medium-weight fruitiness.

Dark and focused black plum, elderberry and mulberry aromas are lifted by lavender on the nose of this reasonably priced bottling. Ample tannins frame the sip, where oak and cherry flavors are spiced up by mace and clove.

Pali is a Lompoc-based winery, on the western edge of the iconic Santa Ynez Valley in Santa Barbara County, committed to producing ultra-high-quality wines at fair prices without a shred of snobbery. Pali employs environmentally friendly wine grape growing, and non-invasive winemaking practices. Founded in 2005 with the intent to produce Burgundy-inspired wines from California’s Central Coast, Pali Wine Co. now consists of three brands with distinct focuses. The original Pali brand focuses on premium Pinot Noir and Chardonnay sourced primarily from Pali’s own Santa Rita Hills and Sonoma vineyards.
Pinot Noir is the second-most planted grape in Santa Barbara County, just behind Chardonnay. It thrives in cooler areas of the region, namely in the of the Sta. Rita Hills, which is part of Santa Barbara’s larger Santa Ynez Valley sub-appellation. Thought for decades to be too cool for viticulture, Sta. Rita Hills began to gain notoriety in the 1970’s, thanks to the pioneering work of Richard Sandford and Michael Benedict, among others.
Santa Barbara Pinot Noir dances across the palate with vivid red fruit and spice. Precision, bright acidity, elegance and fruit-driven silkiness make Santa Barbara Pinot delightfully enjoyable, whether on their own or with a variety of dishes.
