Built upon a foundation of solid, rich, and generous roots, historic premium wine companies are joining forces through the Italian Signature Wines Academy (ISWA), a strategic alliance between nine of the top brands in Italian wine. These are companies who have earned a reputation for the premium quality of their products, as well as their excellence in hospitality and the prestige of their ancestral vines. By working together to confront the challenges of the future, this alliance representing some of the best Italian wines in the world is aiming to create a platform not only for themselves, but for the entire culture of Italian wines, to thrive in an everchanging environment.

                      Allegrini (Veneto)

The Allegrini estate consists of hillside vineyards in the Valpolicella Classica area. Through the years, the winery and its committed winemakers have been pioneers for a variety of techniques, including single-vineyard expressions of local grape varietals and innovations in the aging and appassimento processes. Franco Allegrini, a sixth-generation winemaker of much acclaim, and Marilisa Allegrini, who manages sales and marketing for Allegrini and Poggio al Tesoro, her estate located in Bolgheri (Tuscany) and who is one of few women in the wine industry to be recognized as a “Cavaliere di Lavoro,” remain true to their family legacy, acting as stewards of the land and the craft of outstanding wines.

                      Bellavista (Lombardia)

Bellavista winery is located in Franciacorta in a beautiful location as the name— “bella” meaning beautiful and “vista” meaning view—suggests. Nature and man work hand in hand, in both the vineyards and the wine cellar. Bellavista’s philosophy is a mix of meticulous precision, simplicity, and an obsessive quest for all that is beautiful and good. Excellence is a goal to be pursued daily, striving to fully express the finesse, balance and elegance that define the Bellavista style.

                      Feudi di San Gregorio (Campania)

On the highest volcanic hills of Campania, just a few miles from Naples, most of the last European pre-phylloxera vines have been preserved for more than two centuries. Here, since 1986, Feudi di San Gregorio is producing authentic wines from the ancestral, local, indigenous varietals: Falanghina, Greco, Fiano, and Aglianico.

                      Fontanafredda (Piemonte)

Nestled in Piedmont’s UNESCO-designated hills of the Langhe, Fontanafredda, with its 300 acres of organic certified vineyards, has been standing as an icon of Barolo since 1858, when Vittorio Emanuele II, the first king of unified Italy, gifted the estate to his beloved Rosa Vercellana. Fontanafredda wines have a prestigious and noble history that expresses a culture of wine focused on the respect of the terroir and fine-tuned by the labor and creativity of man.

                      Masciarelli (Abruzzo)

Having turned Trebbiano and Montepulciano into two shining stars in the oenology constellation, the stewards of Masciarelli have also transformed Castello di Semivicoli, a 17th century baronial house, into a refined, luxury relais, where guests can taste the delectable fruits of their labor and enjoy the pleasures of life.

                      Planeta (Sicily)

For five centuries and through seventeen generations, the family responsible for the wines of Planeta have been involved with the course of agriculture evolution in Sicily. Their history is the story of a journey through time and space, and through five distinct areas—Menfi, Vittoria, Noto, Etna, and Capo Milazzo—where today they produce their wines and olive oils and create world-class hospitality experiences.

                      Villa Sandi (Veneto)

From the heart of the Prosecco area, the Moretti Polegato Family have been a leading light in establishing Prosecco’s reputation around the world with the Villa Sandi and La Gioiosa brands. In keeping with the territorial identity and varietal typicity philosophy, they have also incorporated Borgo Conventi winery in Friuli Venezia Giulia into their portfolio and included Collio wines in their collection.
